Gabriele Lualdi becomes Chief Executive Officer of Lima

1969: TITANIUM

Lima SpA is born: titanium processing begins

1978: THE KNEE AND THE ORTHOPAEDIC PATENTS

Cooperation with an important Orthopaedic Surgery Institute in Udine (Italy) begins

1984: A STRENGTH AND A GREAT SYNERGY

Lima means Technique and Science in a team spirit: a group composed of ten companies focused on research, engineering, manufacture and commercialization of products for the aerospace, automotive and mechanic industries. We are living this moment with the same spirit as ever and with a brand new graphic symbol.

1993-1994: THE REORGANIZATION

In this period Lima enters the orthopaedic market with the brand Lima-Lto, as the result of a wide reorganization of the corporate group. The Vitruvian Man becomes Lima's symbol for its art and science in the orthopaedic sector.

1995: THE EVOLUTION. Lima Group

Lima keeps on developing its four strategic business fields: mechanics, medical, aeronautics and automotive

2000: THE NEW MILLENNIUM

The medical sector: Gabriele Lualdi decides to focus on the medical field and stop financing the other companies of the group.

2004: SUBSIDIARIES

The choice of establishing completely owned Subsidiaries, aimed at managing sales and providing direct assistance on the markets worldwide: Lima brand starts gaining strength at a global level.

2008: MANAGERIAL STRUCTURE

It is the beginning of a relevant managerial structure in a company which is already globalized.

About 500 employees.

In this period, Lima starts acquiring companies or structures to accelerate the ongoing internationalization process:

2008: Hit Medica spa (Italy and San Marino)
2009: Biosuma srl
2009: Orthotech (Australia and New Zealand)
2010: Dima (Italy)

A new company name is adopted: Limacorporate spa, replacing Lima-Lto.
