Implant Passport
Following Lima-Lto instruc- tions, the Implant Passport is a document issued by the Hospital to the Patient after a joint arthroplasty.
This document includes personal data of the Patient and specifies the articulation operated; details regarding the surgery are indicated as well all information concerning the implanted prosthesis.
The Passport is complete with an Identification Card which declares that the Patient possesses an orthopaedic implant. Therefore, in case of metal detector inspections, the owner of the Passport can give any explanation necessary to Security personnel.
The Patient should always bring the Passport with him during medical check-ups in order to provide all details to physicians and physiotherapists.
