Lima-Lto Cerclage system has been designed to be used in long ovoidal section bones.

It consists on a very thin band of standard length (270 mm), provided with a locking buckle and a loop, all made of high biocompatibility material, capable to allow osteosynthesis even in those regions such as the proximal trocantheric one of the femour.

The buckle and the loop are equipped with small pins for a strength cortical tissue anchoring, in order to obtain two stable support points and to avoid any risk of sliding.

The wide band compression surface improves the contact of the cerclage in comparison with the classic plait wire.

This implies the less possible damage to the periosteal tissue thus avoiding any cut on the bone.

A well spread load allows also to obtain a better retention of the cerclage and to increase mechanical behaviour in general.
