SL-Self Locking
The SL hip prosthesis relies upon the biomechanical concepts of the selflocking mechanism.

The straight stem has been fl attened antero posteriorly and primary stability is achieved by introducing the stem into the femoral shaft.

The introduction of the stem and the extrusion of cement in excess are favoured by the presence of two grooves on the anterior and posterior surfaces of the stem itself.

The cementless version is Plasma Spray coated with highly porous Titanium increasing osteointegration. 12/14 taper is compatible with metallic or ceramic heads for total implants and with endo or bipolar heads for applications in traumatology.

ADVANTAGES:

Simple and reliable system

Possibility to choose the implantation technique during the operation

Easy-to-use, precise instruments, similar for all versions
