SMR Resurfacing system is the shoulder resurfacing prosthesis developed by Lima-Lto.

The guidelines we followed during the development of the system, which started in 2004, are:

To restore the natural morphology of humeral head with a minimal bone removal and stabilize the SMR Resurfacing cap with a modular peg;

To reduce the conflicts with soft tissues through an anatomical design of the humeral cap and a very low thickness of the metal;

To assure bone integration through a double Porous Titanium and Hydrossiapatite coating under the humeral cap;

To facilitate the implant through the use of a simple and low invasive instrument set.
